Children's Education

The education system in Britain has been evolving regularly since the first education act in the nineteenth century. The proof is everywhere ask your parents what qualifications they have and they will likely say O Levels rather than the current system of GCSEs. The systems are also diverse with different models and methods of teaching depending on whether you are in England, Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland. One things remains the same, however the government gives free education to all those of compulsory school age.

Children have never had so much opportunity for education, but at the same time every year there are questions surrounding the so called dumbing down of testing as certain sections of society feel that examinations are easier than they used to be. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen, but there's no doubt that kids will continue to be challenged and tested as the system ever changes and becomes more efficient and useful. With children tested under the national curriculum and schools under scrutiny from Ofsted, it means children in our school can be sure to have the best opportunities possible.
